This only brings up the dead with 10% life. So use restore life instead.

rebirth drains all ur remaining energy tho. For a ele. thats a big drop kick in the face waiting for 80ish energy to come back

i cant count the times i sneaked up to the very edge of a mob to rez someone and they got up and made it to me as i ran away from the mob which didnt follow to far

The above post is bizarre O_O

But to answer the question, the best of the choices for PvE is rebirth, due to its tractoring ability. Resurrect has no use really... I would say that it's the worst of the rez abilities, due to its having a set amount if recovered hp/mp through all levels, its extremely long cast time, and that it raises the target in a potentially dangerous spot.

Personally I believe that ranger should be the one in pvp (tomb) to bring rebirth... because they are often on the edge of a hill, so once rebirth other can't reach so easily.

Once in tomb, I was the only one alive (due to staying on a hill) then I fertile season first and rebirth all my monk... cause us the win... I guess the other team sucked in some way too.

They did not interrupt your 8sec cast? That alone says enough about their skill
No, just use ressurection signet instead. it pwns teh shiZ out of permanent res.
There are two cases where some other for of res is justified. One is a Me/Mo with high FC, the other one is a E/Mo or Mo/E with glyph of sacrifice. Otherwise, save the opposing team the fun of waiting 7 3/4 seconds and then power draining you.
BTW, the only permanent res you should ever use in PvP is ressurection chant. it is ALMOST as good as a res sig.

In PvE Monks would be best useing restorelife or res chant as it doesn't consume all thier energy and those x/mo can use rebirth.In PvP res signets all the way.

a definition for an elite is a powerful skill with no cons, what about an elite res skill, resses with all health and all energy requires you to stand aggro distance away and works fairly fast.

that elite does exist, its called Unyielding Aura...

lovely... skill...

I've seen a few GvG matches where Resurrect was being used. It's mainly used by mesmers on warriors who don't really need the energy, while the monk is ready at hand to heal the player to full health.

Resurrect is (like said) used my Mesmers in GvG, or was.

With Fast Cast its relatively quick compared to others, and its for warrior rezzing, so the aggro circle away is best.

Most have changed to Rez Chant though, I still like Resurrect :\

Rez Chant is shorter range, and longer cast - For MOre health and energy on rez. It depends on preference.

On that different note: For Glyph of Sac rezzing...Rez Chant is better. It gives more health and energy - and cast time doesnt matter and you can pull back in range quickly.
